The deep pink flowers of the summer green Astilbe japonica 'Mainz' are an eye-catcher in every garden from June to July. With an upright growth and dark green foliage, the perennial grows up to 50 cm tall. An optimal location for strong, healthy plants is partial shade or shade with well-drained, humus-rich and nutrient-rich soil. Perfect for a shade garden. Also well suited for a tub, i.e. container. Color variations from pink to violet are possible.
