Delphinium grandiflorum "Blue Dwarf"
Delphinium grandiflorum "Blue Dwarf"
Dwarf Delphinium / Dwarf Delphinium Blue Dwarf
The dwarf delphinium 'Blue Dwarf' is a compact, sun-loving perennial with bright violet-blue flowers. With its low growth height of up to 30 cm, it is perfect for rock gardens, perennial beds and even as a floral display in a pot on the terrace. Its nutrient-rich soil makes it robust and easy to care for.
As a biennial plant, the dwarf delphinium 'Blue Dwarf' develops finely divided, palmate, green leaves and shines with strong blue flowers in midsummer between June and September. Targeted pruning can result in a second bloom in late summer. The leaves wilt in winter and sprout again in spring.
Without pruning the faded flowers, the dwarf delphinium 'Blauer Zwerg' can produce seeds. This can be a great advantage.
